Community

Events

Throughout the school year, the Lycée Français de New York holds several community events that help support the mission of the school. Parent leadership and volunteers are essential to the success of our events, and are a great way to get to know the community.

  • Annual Gala

Each year, the Lycée Français de New York hosts a spectacular Gala for over 900 guests. The annual Gala is the school’s largest fundraiser and includes student performances, a dinner, live and silent auction and student performances.

A committee of parent volunteers leads the event each year, who work together with the school's Development Office to select an honoree, develop a theme, create the decor, and build excitement for this extraordinary event.

  • Community Engagement Day

Every year, the Lycée partners with a local service organization to give back to the community. This year, students, parents and staff worked with City Harvest and donated 2,500 pounds of food, which they packed into over 1,000 lunch bags for hungry New Yorkers. Even our youngest students joined in by decorating the bags!
  • Fête Foraine

Fête Foraine is a new Fall Lycée tradition, taking place the second weekend of November. Split into two days, the event is a celebration of the Lycée community. The first Fête Foraine took place on Saturday, November 11 for a day filled with activities, carnival games, a book fair, food and more! For more photos of the day, click here.
