Start your weekend in French!

Spend Saturday mornings discovering French language and culture at the Lycée Français de New York through music, story time, and art. Our programs are designed for families—no prior knowledge of French required.

What to Expect

  • A fun way to learn French together through activities and friends
  • Make new friends (children and adults included!) and discover the Lycée community
  • Small groups: maximum 10 family pairs per class (one adult must accompany each child)
  • All levels welcome—no French required

Our Saturday French classes offer families a dedicated space to experience the joy of the French language and culture together. By using music and art as playful entry points into oral French, we create a rich sensory environment where language acquisition happens naturally.

Le Samedi des Tout-Petits

For toddlers ages 1.5 to 4 (and one parent, guardian or caregiver)

A playful introduction to French language and culture led by Lycée Français de New York preschool educators.

Designed to foster socialization and preschool readiness, our Saturday sessions are offered in two distinct immersive formats:

  • Storytime & Art: Storytelling and hands-on art projects that foster early literacy, fine motor skills, and creative expression in French.
  • Music: Traditional and contemporary French songs and rhymes to leverage the natural connection between musical cadence and early language acquisition.

Schedule & Fees

$200 per 4-week session (adult + child)
Saturdays, 4 consecutive weeks
9:30–10:15 am: ages 1.5 to 2
10:30–11:15 am: ages 3 to 4

En Famille vers le Français

For children in Kindergarten to Grade 2 (and one parent, guardian or caregiver)

  • Interactive lessons and games to help children and parents/caregivers develop their French together
  • Tailored for elementary school-aged learners with fun and engaging activities and materials
  • Led by an experienced French teacher from the Lycée Français de New York

Schedule & Fees

$240 per 4-week session (adult + child)
Saturdays, 4 consecutive weeks
9:30–10:30 am: ages 5–7 (Kindergarten to Grade 2)
