Throughout the year, the Lycée Français de New York brings together students, families, faculty, staff, and neighbors through events that reflect our core values: solidarité – community, épanouissement – joy, esprit de découverte – open minds, and ténacité – commitment.
Our Development Team and the Association des Parents du Lycée (APL) organize flagship community and fundraising events that support scholarships, cultural programming, and scientific partnerships in New York City.
The Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year—an elegant and joyful evening that brings our community together in support of scholarships, cultural programming, and scientific partnerships. Learn more on the Gala website and the event’s Instagram.
A celebration of the Lycée’s international community, with cultural booths, games, an international food court, and more.
Since 2016, the Lycée has joined forces with City Harvest for a day of service, helping feed people in need across New York City.

The Lycée’s Cultural Center offers a rich public program showcasing French and Francophone cultures.
Every first Wednesday of the month, we host free screenings of acclaimed French and Francophone films (with English subtitles), occasionally followed by conversations with directors and actors. Throughout the year, we also host special screenings where a documentary is followed by an interactive discussion.
During the school year, our auditorium hosts French-language plays, dance shows, and concerts featuring world-class artists. Past guests include Francis Cabrel, Ibrahim Maalouf, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Vincent Dedienne, Louis Bertignac, and Angélique Kidjo.
Panels and talks on today’s most pressing topics—politics, climate change, racial justice, science, and more—with renowned speakers such as Esther Duflo, Adam Gopnik, Souleymane Bachir Diagne, Joseph E. Stiglitz and Jeffrey Sachs.
An annual celebration of Francophone culture in all its diversity: literature, cinema, music, theater, pétanque, food, and more. A lively event for Francophiles of all ages.
