Primary After-School Program

The Lycée offers extended after-school childcare, bilingual language study support, and a diverse range of clubs and activities for students in Nursery through Grade 5.

As a complement to our academic curriculum, we offer programs in both French and English specifically designed for students looking to strengthen their skills in their second language. Taught by Lycée teachers and a dedicated team of instructors, our programming is constantly innovating to meet the evolving interests and linguistic goals of all Lycée students.

After-Care

Preschool Students

Monday to Friday from 2:35pm to 5:45pm

Supervised by our teaching assistants, our After-Care program offers families of our Preschool students flexibility with afternoon pick-ups.

Depending on the child’s age, the program builds on the classroom environment with age-appropriate activities in art, music, science, cooking, and open play indoors and outdoors. It is an engaging environment for the children staying after school with nurturing and attentive teachers.

Bilingual Study Hall

Students in Grades 1 to 5

Monday to Friday from 3:15pm to 5:45pm

Let family time at home be truly focused on the family! Our Bilingual Study Hall offers students a seamless transition from the classroom to the afternoon.

After snack time and a short break, students dive into their assignments in a focused, small-group environment. To ensure true bilingual support, each group is guided by a dedicated French teacher, with English specialists providing targeted assistance for English homework.

Clubs and Activities

With an assortment of after-school clubs, students have the opportunity to explore their passions and expand their horizons from many cultural perspectives. After-school offerings take place in French or in English, depending on the instructor.

Preschool Activities – 2:45pm to 3:45pm

  • Performing Arts: Theater (Classical and Improv), Music, and Singing.
  • Sports and Well-being: Soccer, Judo, Yoga, and Creative Dance.
  • Handicrafts and Design: Cooking, Fine Arts, and Architecture.
  • Languages and Global Awareness: Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish, and Philosophy.
  • Discovery and Environment: Ecology (Science and Exploration), Tiny Scientists, and Farm Animal-themed Art.
  • Reflection and Literacy: Chess, Philosophy, and Storytime.

Elementary School Activities – 3:30pm to 5pm

  • Technology and Sciences: Lego Robotics, Roblox Programming, Coding, and Math Club.
  • Performing Arts: Theater (French and Improv), Musical Theater, and Choir (Free).
  • Media and Design: Filmmaking, Creative Design Studio, and Journalism.
  • Sports: Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Gymnastics, and Judo.
  • Languages: Mandarin, Spanish, and Arabic.
  • Lifestyle: Sewing, Cooking and Chess.

Participants in our Choir, Theater, and Musical Theater classes present the fruits of their work at the annual Winter Concert, the Spring Concert, and at special events at the Lycée and elsewhere throughout the school year.

Seasonal Day Camps

The Lycée offers dedicated French immersion day camps during our summer, fall, and spring breaks. Each camp provides fun, innovative opportunities to learn for children ages 2.5 to 10 in a supportive, creative and playful environment.

Campers take part in a range of activities tailored to their level of development in groups of 10 to 12 children. Programs in art, music, cooking, crafts, storytelling, sports, and theater offer campers engaging ways to develop their curiosity and strengthen their French-language skills.

The Lycée Summer Camp is open to all children, whether or not they are enrolled in the Lycée.
