Committed to educating the whole child, the Lycée provides a multi-tiered framework to foster well-being that integrates classroom activities, counseling, health services, and learning support, providing students with guidance and resources to grow and thrive throughout their years at school.
We work to cultivate a strong sense of belonging as the heartbeat of our community, while providing practical tools that help students move through their years at the Lycée with confidence and clarity.
Focus: Knowing Oneself and Managing Emotions
At the heart of Primary School is the belief that students who know themselves are more confident, build stronger relationships, and thrive more fully in the classroom. Our teachers and assistants, trained to support children at this formative stage, prioritize socialization, self-awareness, and positive peer interaction as foundational skills for lifelong learning.
Focus: Identity, Prevention, and Proactive Resilience
Middle School is a pivotal stage as students explore identity, independence, and their place within a wider community. At the Lycée, we guide this transition through intentional structures that promote self-awareness, resilience, and responsible decision-making.
Focus: Autonomy, Advocacy, and Life Beyond the Lycée
In High School, student support evolves to emphasize independence, resilience, and preparation for life after graduation. A dedicated team—including the Dean of Students for the High School, High School Counselor, school psychologist, grade coordinators, faculty advisors, and college counselors—works closely with students as they make academic and personal decisions that will shape their future.
Advisory is an essential part of the High School experience. Students meet weekly in small groups with a faculty advisor to discuss topics aligned with this important stage of development, and may work on community service and service learning projects together to build camaraderie and community within this small peer group.
Areas of focus for discussion build on the Middle School program covering:
In Grades 9 and 10, students begin early work with the College Counseling Office in partnership with the teachers and advisors to explore their interests, consider higher education pathways, and make academic choices that will prepare them for the transition to college and university life.
In Grades 11 and 12, their work begins in earnest with regular one-on-one meetings, preparation of college lists, insight into the admissions process, college essay workshops, and support through the application and decisions. This process unfolds gradually, giving students the time, structure, and guidance needed to make thoughtful choices and grow in confidence.
The Lycée is deeply committed to student wellbeing, and the mindfulness approach is now fully embedded in the daily life of the Primary school.
