French Government Financial Aid
If your child is a French citizen and is registered with the French Consulate in New York, your family may be eligible for financial aid from the French Government.
How to Apply for French Government Aid
French families planning to apply for French Government aid must complete both applications (for French Government and for Lycée) in parallel. Both applications must be completed in their entirety in order for your child to be considered for financial assistance from the Lycée.
Please note:
All grades: Apply for French Government financial aid according to the deadlines listed on the French Consulate’s Financial Aid website.
Apply for Lycée financial aid according to the deadlines on the Lycée financial aid page.
Step One: Check Your Eligibility
To be eligible to apply to French Government financial aid, your child must:
Step Two: Complete the Application and Schedule an Appointment
Important: French families must complete applications for both French Government (if eligible) and Lycée Financial Aid at the same time. The Lycée Financial Aid Committee cannot finalize its review until the school receives an official decision (award or rejection) from the French Government.
Step Three: Submit the French Government Decision Letter to the Lycée
Once your application has been processed by the French Government, you will receive a formal decision letter:
If approved, the letter will specify the amount of aid awarded.
If denied, the letter will provide the reason.
Please share a copy of the decision letter to the Lycée in order to be eligible for Lycée Financial Aid review.
