    MOVIE NIGHT : Animal by Cyril Dion 
    Wednesday, November 2 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm 

    Cyril Dion’s Animal focuses on mass extinction through the eyes of two teenagers. A winner at Cannes 2015 for Demain, the filmmaker here explores the daring activism of a young generation forced to reinvent its relationship with nature. The film has been praised by various youth juries and was part of the selection at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

    Cultural Center: Women and Sports in Conversation

    Laura Flessel, five-time Olympic fencing champion and former French Minister of Sports, in conversation with Alvin Patrick, executive producer at CBS News. Student Ariane C. and Laura will answer questions about the rise of female athletes and discuss their challenges and opportunities.

    Panel: The Brain and Our Subjective Mind

    In collaboration with Paris Brain Institute


    How do we actively construct our "inner cinema"? How do we project its images to the world? What is its impact on our relationship with the collective and how we live together? In dialog with Dr. Lionel Naccache, neurologist at Salpêtrière hospital and author; Dr. Gordon Baltuch, neurosurgeon and parent of the Lycée Siri Hustvedt, prolific writer, and lecturer in psychiatry.

    They will discuss the role of fiction in subjective perception, the construction of empathy in relationships, and the future of the brain, from a transdisciplinary perspective.

    The conversation, followed by book signings, will be in English.
