Volunteers play a vital role at the Lycée Français de New York. Their dedication supports the multiple and varied events and initiatives that enrich the life of our school community throughout the year.

Volunteering is not only a way to support the school, but also a great opportunity to meet other families, build connections, and fully experience the spirit of the Lycée. There are many ways to participate—whether for a single event or on an ongoing basis, on-site or remotely—everyone can find a way to contribute that works for them.

The Lycée has shaped my children in ways I couldn’t have imagined. My son was very shy when he started, but thanks to his teachers and the inclusive culture here, he’s really come into his own. This is our last year in New York before moving back to France, and while, as an entrepreneur, I may not be able to make a major financial contribution, I’m committed to giving back with my time and energy—to honor and support the Lycée that has meant so much to us.

Volunteering During Events

Major Lycée events, such as the Lycée Gala and the Spring Fair, rely on the invaluable support of our volunteers. You can lend a hand with pre-event preparations, day-of logistical organization, activity coordination, or even by helping to find sponsors and auction items.
