Leading the charge, Jean-Luc Godard persuaded producer Georges de Beauregard to finance a low-budget experiment shot on the streets of Paris, shaped by improvisation and radical formal freedom. The result, Breathless, didn’t just tell a story — it announced a revolution, redefining what films could be.
