Celebration of the End of WWI and Sergeant Alvin York

Organized in partnership with friends of York Avenue, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. Grand nephew of Sergeant York, namesake of York Avenue and our own York Wing Building, and granddaughter of General John J. Pershing will join us for a special celebration and screening of the 1941 Oscar-winning film, Sergeant York, starring Gary Cooper. Sergeant York was a conscientious objector who went on to become one of the most decorated soldiers of WWI, where he fought most notably at the Battle of the Argonne Forest. Book tickets here!
