We follow a set of core criteria to establish admission eligibility.
Your child must be four years old by December 31 of the year she or he will start school in order to enter Pre-Kindergarten.
Knowledge of the French language is not required in Pre-Kindergarten, but is highly recommended for Kindergarten.
The Lycée follows the admissions calendar of other New York private schools, set by the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY). Applications must be submitted in the fall ahead of the school year being applied for. For example, if you who wish to enroll your child in the fall of 2018, you should apply in the fall of 2017
The deadline to submit an application is December 15.
Once we receive your application, you will be able to schedule a time for both your child’s evaluation and for your own parent interview. The Lycée team works hard to put together a well-balanced and diverse community of students who will thrive in our bilingual program.
Children are evaluated in small groups in a classroom setting, while parents and guardians take a tour of the school. If your family lives outside of the New York metro area, and you cannot attend an in-person evaluation, we gratefully ask that you provide detailed school reports from your child’s current school in order to strengthen the application.
We notify all parents in February (the specific date is set by ISAAGNY.) If your child is accepted, you are asked to return a signed contract with a non-refundable tuition deposit of $3,500 in order to secure your child’s spot.
