  • Audio Visual and Auditorium Manager (Attractive compensation)

    The Audio Visual and Auditorium Manager works autonomously and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgment over matters of significance to the Lycée.  The primary duties of the Audio Visual & Auditorium Director entail designing, implementing, and supervising the highest quality of events (student & professional shows, music, dance and theater performances, concerts, conferences & panels, movie projections, presentations,etc.) in the school's 350+ seat auditorium hosting the Lycée Français de New York Cultural Center, in collaboration with various stakeholders and with the support of the A/V assistant(s) and other staff when needed.

  • Maintenance Cleaning Position

    In general, the maintenance staff is responsible for general cleaning, set up areas for meetings and special events, distribute incoming deliveries to the appropriate locations, and participate as an active member of the security and team for the School.  To account for certain organizational demands, the maintenance staff must show flexibility in her or his schedule, in order to respond to occasional unexpected circumstances during the day, and if necessary, evening and/or week-end activities (such as meetings, special events and weather emergencies) requiring their presence.

    At the Lycée, “the student is at the center of the system.”  All staff is expected to show respect for each student. Team spirit is key, as the maintenance staff work in a team.

    All employees should truly and enthusiastically believe in the Lycée’s Mission supporting the vision of the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. The maintenance staff should be resourceful, well organized team player with the ability to work well under pressure and to demonstrate good interpersonal skills. The ability to get along with diverse personalities is a necessary skill. All employees are strongly encouraged to work towards proficiency in the English language and to develop a familiarity and understanding of the Lycée's multicultural environment.

    *The schedule includes a 40 hour week which includes one hour per day for lunch/break [the five (5) lunch/break hours do not count as hours worked in determining overtime pay].  Individual actual work-hours will be scheduled, according to the needs of the school (i.e. such as 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 3 a.m. to 11 p.m., or any other combination of schedule). The building normally operates from Mon. thru Fri. 6am till 11pm.

  • Assistant Secondary/Grade Coordinator

    The Secondary Assistant/Grade Coordinator’s main responsibilities are as defined as insuring the students’ safety at all times and enforcing rules and regulations.  As a grade coordinator, he/she is in charge of the daily overseeing of one or two grade levels, in terms of presence, punctuality, social interactions and academic progression, and implementation of the school rules, in constant liaison with the Director of Student Life, advisors, teachers, Specialized Support, the Secondary Assistant Secondary/Grade Coordinator, the Administration and parents.

  • Part time lunch/recess/after-school assistant for primary grades

    Days: Monday through Friday
    Lunch/recess times: 10:30 AM to 1 PM
    After-school: until 6 PM.
    French language preferred.
    Ideal candidate has worked with children before (camp counselor, youth groups, etc…). Must be punctual, reliable and energetic.
    Must have work visa, Green card or US citizenship.
