Digital Learning Integrator (Secondary School)

Schedule: Full Time (40 Hours), School Year (Mid-August through June)

Start Date: August 14, 2017

Reporting: Director of Digital Learning

Professional duties
Teaching

  • Develop a curriculum for and teach middle school computer science classes.
  • Collaborate and co-teach with subject teachers and the digital learning team (Maker Integrator, Media Integrator, Primary School Integrator) in the implementation of projects.
  • Design, coordinate and provide instructional technology in-service opportunities for students, faculty and staff, including orientation training for new and returning faculty during the last two-weeks of August.
  • Serve as an advisor for 8-12 students
  • Develop a culture of technology use and digital citizenship among students and faculty.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and trends in the field.
  • Lead a group of faculty members who are leaders in technology integration through the “technology ambassador program”.
  • Lead student groups committed to influencing technology use at the Lycée.
  • Contribute to an environment that encourages creative and independent use of instructional technology throughout the school.
  • Model effective uses of current and new instructional technology inside and outside the classroom for teachers and students.
  • Provide input regarding school-wide and division-wide technology initiatives, policies and pilot programs.
  • Plan and lead technology-related extracurricular activities (for additional compensation).

Technology Management

  • Submit order requests for and maintain equipment, software and supplies related to the teaching of computer science classes
  • Maintain the schedule for various equipment.
  • Assure that all purchases and activities are within the budget constraints assigned
  • Provide training opportunities for teachers and students, on-site and via an online resource center.
  • Work closely with the 1:1/BYOD coordinator to establish policies and procedures related to the 1:1 and BYOD programs. Work together to assure continuity of support for students and staff.
  • Report common technical issues to the IT team.
  • Provide level I support to teachers and students.

Database Manager

The Lycée Français de New York (LFNY), a world-leading independent bilingual French K-12, relies deeply on data for all aspects of the school’s life, among which : pedagogical innovation, business operations, marketing and development.

Maintaining data integrity, security, reliability as well as a seamless data flow are key elements of our strategic goals’ achievement.

The Lycée Français de New York is seeking a full-time exempt Database Manager reporting to the Director of Technology.

Responsibilities include :

  • Maintaining accurate data system inventory and database relationship schema
  • Writing, maintaining and enforcing all data-related procedures and protocols, based on school needs and best practices. Ensuring data compliance with legal regulations
  • Auditing processes and controlling data integrity across all databases and advising/taking on preventive/cleaning measures
  • Ensuring data security and redundancy
  • Providing data-oriented support and training on systems, procedures, best practices, reporting and data analysis to all departments
  • Data reporting and business-oriented analysis. Maintaining data and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboard
  • Facilitating new data system’s integration in the existing school’s environment and assisting various departments for new data-related initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining digital student files
  • Coordinating and facilitating data team meetings

  • Master’s Degree in information technology, statistics or a related field and seven years experience in data management.
  • Bilingual French/English
  • SQL, XML, Excel proficiency
  • Experience in corporate data consulting is a plus
  • Blackbaud/ON products experience is a plus

Working Conditions :

  • Some work during extended hours and on weekends is required.

Development Research Associate and Event Coordinator

The Lycée Français de New York, a leading bilingual independent school in Manhattan, is seeking a Development Research Associate and Event Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Development, the administrative position will support the institutional research needs and the annual fundraising events of the Development Office. Responsibilities include writing articles for inclusion in institutional publications; identifying donor prospects; creating biographical reports; conducting research for funding opportunities through foundations and grants; planning and implementing the annual fund-raising auction, including organizing Gala auction items, tables/ticket sales, and corporate sponsorship; and managing extensive data to support the activities of the Gala.

The candidate must have fundraising experience, preferably in an educational environment. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, resourceful, well-organized team player, fluent in English and if possible French with a demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment. Expertise in Raiser’s Edge and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software are required.
