Gala

The hallmark event in the school’s fundraising calendar, the Lycée Français de New York hosts a spectacular Gala for over 900 distinguished guests each year. The Gala honors a prominent French-American with the Charles de Ferry de Fontnouvelle Award, named for the school’s founder and French consul general at the time. The award commemorates distinguished service to the French-American community. This glamorous night includes dinner, live and silent auctions and dancing.

In 2011, the Gala celebrated new technologies, exploratory projects, and the inventive minds of our youth while supporting the educational mission of the Lycée. It raised over $1.9 million for the Lycée.

Friends of the Lycée Français de New York are invited to participate in the event via corporate sponsorships, donations for the live and silent auctions, advertising in the Gala program and/or scholarship donations. Support of the Gala enables the Lycée to continue to provide an education that both encourages and respects diversity between people and cultures. Proceeds are used toward furthering academic as well as artistic initiatives. Additionally, they help fund the scholarship program that is crucial to the school’s goal of maintaining a diverse and multicultural student body.

Please visit the Gala website for more information on the event and unique opportunities associated with it.
