The non-refundable Re-Enrollment Fee and the non-refundable Tuition Advance Deposit of $3,500 (part of the total tuition, not an extra fee) per student must accompany the signed Enrollment or Re-Enrollment Contract.
Tuition Payment Plans
- Single Payment Plan: Balance of tuition (after Advanced Deposit) is paid directly to the school on or before June 1st.
- Two Payment Plan: Balance of tuition (after Advanced Deposit) is due in two equal payments (2 @ 50% each). Payment #1 is paid directly to the school on or before June 1st. Payment #2 is paid directly to the school on or before November 1st.
- Monthly Payment Plan: The total tuition and fees is due in twelve (12) equal payments beginning March (Payment #1) through February (Payment #12). This program is administered by FACTS Management. This payment plan will be an automatic debit from checking or savings accounts with an annual processing fee of $45.00. Click here to set up automatic payment plan. The following apply:
- Payments must be made in U.S. dollars. Checks must be drawn on and payable at an American bank or the New York branch of a foreign bank. A $50.00 fee will be charged for each returned check or insufficient funds (NSF).
- If the school has encountered difficulties in collecting prior tuitions from the parent or guardian financially responsible, the school reserves the right to require the entire contracted amount paid in full prior to September 1st.*
* No student will be accepted for re-enrollment with a past due account.
Financial Aid from the Lycée Français de New York

Financial Aid from the French Government
You may apply for tuition assistance from the French Government if your child:
- has French nationality;
- is registered with the French Consulate in New York;
- has applied to LFNY; or
- has been re-enrolled for the next school year.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FINANCIAL AID FROM THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT FOR STUDENTS OF FRENCH NATIONALITY:
The French government has informed us that the first stage of its Tuition Assistance program started on December 16, 2011. 2012-2013 forms are now available for download on the Consulate website. Families can schedule in-person appointments now and until January 31, 2012 for February 1 – March 8, 2012. Information is available on the website of the Consulate General of France, under “Vous résidez aux Etats-Unis”, “Enseignement Bourses” puis “Aide à la scolarité”.
Tuition remission from the French Government (for grades 10, 11 or 12 ONLY)
You may also apply for tuition remission or ‘Prise en Charge’** without financial conditions or restrictions from the French Government if your child:
- has French nationality;
- is registered with the French Consulate in New York;
- has applied to LFNY for 10th , 11th or 12th Grades; or
- has been re-enrolled for the next school year for 10th, 11th or 12th Grade.
Please note: Students not living with their families (living with a host family) cannot benefit from tuition remission.
Families must re-apply each year for the Prise en Charge. The Lycée will accept Prise en Charge applications until the deadline to be determined by the French government, for families currently living in the Consulate’s jurisdiction. All students must fill out the application form, even if their enrollment or re-enrollment has not been approved yet. According to the government’s regulations, all applications made after the deadline will be automatically rejected (except for special cases like illness or Baccalauréat failure). For new families moving to the Consulate’s jurisdiction in September, applications must be sent at the end of August.
